CastHub Privacy Policy

CastHub (“the app”) turns your Android device into a receiver for AirPlay and DLNA casting. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: the app does not collect your personal data, has no account, no analytics and no ads.
Information we collect
None. The developer does not receive, store or sell any personal information, device identifiers, usage statistics or crash reports from the app.
How the app works with your network
- The app listens on your local Wi-Fi/USB network and advertises itself so iPhones, iPads, Macs and Android devices can find it. Nearby-device (local network) access is needed for this.
- Screen, video, photo and audio content you cast is received from your own device and played on this device. It is processed in memory and is not uploaded anywhere.
- When you cast a video or music link, the app may fetch that media directly from the server named by the sending app (for example a streaming site). That server can see this device’s IP address, as with any player. The developer is not involved.
- If you use the in-app video download feature, the file is saved on this device only.
- Diagnostic logs stay on this device. They leave it only if you choose to export or share them.
Purchases
The optional Premium purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. The developer never sees your payment details; Google tells the app only whether the purchase is owned. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Permissions
- Internet, network and Wi-Fi state, multicast, nearby devices: discover and receive casts.
- Notifications and foreground service: keep the receiver running and show its status.
- Display over other apps: optionally bring the app to the front when a cast starts.
- Run at startup, wake lock: optionally start the receiver after boot and keep playback running.
Third-party code
The app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs. The only Google component that talks to Google services is the Play Billing library used for the optional purchase.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.

本应用如何使用你的网络
- 本应用在你的本地 Wi-Fi 或 USB 网络中监听并广播自己，让 iPhone、iPad、Mac 和 Android 设备能找到它，因此需要“附近设备（本地网络）”权限。
- 你投屏的画面、视频、照片和音频从你自己的设备传来，在本设备上播放，只在内存中处理，不会上传到任何地方。
- 当你投送视频或音乐链接时，本应用可能直接从发送端 App 指定的服务器（例如视频网站）获取内容。该服务器会看到本设备的 IP 地址，这与任何播放器相同，开发者不参与其中。
- 如果你使用应用内的视频下载功能，文件只保存在本设备上。
- 诊断日志只保存在本设备上，除非你主动导出或分享，否则不会离开本设备。
购买
可选的 Premium 购买完全由 Google Play 处理。开发者看不到你的支付信息，应用只会得知该购买是否已拥有。详见 Google 隐私权政策。
权限说明
- 网络、Wi-Fi 状态、组播、附近设备：发现并接收投屏。
- 通知与前台服务：保持接收端运行并显示状态。
- 显示在其他应用上层：可选，用于投屏开始时把应用带到前台。
- 开机启动、唤醒锁：可选，用于开机后自动启动接收端并保持播放不中断。
第三方代码
本应用不含任何广告或统计 SDK。唯一会与 Google 服务通信的是用于可选购买的 Google Play 计费库。
儿童
本应用不面向儿童，也不会有意收集任何人的信息。
